Book Report

The story is about a girl who have a magic finger that can make everything. She was next to the farm of the Greg’s family (Friends). First she put the magic finger in others occasions, but one day, she put the magic finger in the Greg’s family, but later she regretted (main and secondary ideas).

The characters are: The girl who has a magic finger (In the book doesn’t have name), Mr. Greg, Mrs. Greg, William Greg, and Philip Greg (All of them are a family, except the girl who has a magic finger).

I believe that the author’s purpose with the book is to teach that you should not abuse any privilege that you have, in this case, the magic finger, since you may end up regretting what you have done.

I think the main theme of the book is the following: a girl with a magic finger aware of it abuses her power until she ends up regretting one of her actions.

I really liked the book, since I had already read others by the same author (Roald Dahl), and I had all liked them a lot, especially because of how fun they are, just like the one I just read.

It has been very easy for me to read this book, which has a very well explained index, and to my knowledge, there are no spelling errors.

I believe that the interest of the book is fun, which is present in each of the actions of the book.

4. WHAT’S THE STORY ABOUT?:

The book talks about Moominpapa that started writing his memories, and he tell his childish to his son Moomintroll, his wife Moominmama, and to Snif and Snufkin.

It’s very funny and interesting.

5. AUTHOR’S BIOGRAPHY:

Tove Janson (1914-2001) was born in Helsinki, daughter of a sculptor and a graphic designer. She trained as an artist and gained early renown as a painter and cartoonist, but it was the creation of the Moomin books, and series of eight novels for children, that brought her worldwide fame. All her life passed in a little island in the Gulf of Finland, with her life partner, the graphic artist Tuulikki Pietilä.

BOOK REPORT

• The book talks about, a little village that has a lot of different houses, from different kind of living beings. And it has different parts, the most important of the story, the Moomin valley.

There was a house, named the Moominhouse, where live Moominpapa and Moominmama, with their child Moomintroll and their friends.

 

One day, Moominpapa gets bored, and started to write his own memories, for everyone know who is him.

So he try to write his book, and every chapter he end, he tell it to his son, and his friends.

 

It is a fiction story, because, nothing of the story is real.

The story, also, has themes: one of them, the family that helps Moominpapa, to write his memories, also the difficult childish that Moominpapa have to pass, and the friends, that help Moominpapa in every problem of his life.

 

The characters of the story are more than Moominpapa, there are adults and 3 children, which are Moomintroll, and his friends: Sniff and Snufkin. I like all the characters, but if I have to try one, I’m going to choose the Muddler, because, is so shy and crazy, and has a button collection (it’s so rare but it’s funny).

 

• I like this book very much, and I found that there are more. So, I read the 1srt and the 2nd. They are very funny.

Along this time, I have finished all my books, so I said to my father to buy more of the Moomin series. I love the illustrations, and I want to finish all the books and read those 2 or 3 times. I love the book. I have choose a great book for this third term.

La historia comienza en la mansión La-Martine, en Francia, donde los cómplices y amigos de Lupin buscan un preciado objeto.

Cuando lo encuentran, el criado de la casa asustado por los numerosos ruidos pide socorro, pero nadie le oye, y uno de los cómplices de Lupin (Vaucheray) le estrangula y lo mata, pero al criado antes de morir le da tiempo a llamar a la policía. Y Lupin, al saber que la policía había pillado a sus amigos se hace pasar (con un traje de la policía ) por agente, para poder huir y planear el rescate de ambos.

El libro trata de varios temas: el primero es la injusticia de que vayan a ejecutar a su mejor amigo ( Gilbert ) siendo inocente. La segunda es el compañerismo, con el que Lupin ayuda a su equipo a llegar a la victoria. El tercero es el temor de Lupin y de la madre de Gilbert ( Victorien Mergy ) de que lo ejecuten finalmente sin conseguir el éxito. Y por último la perseverancia de nunca rendirse.

Los personajes son adultos, los adultos son: Arsenio Lupin (personaje principal), Victorien Mergy ( madre de Gilbert), Daubrecq ( el que le complica la vida a Arsenio y poseedor de la lista de los veintisiete), Prasville ( secretario general de la prefectura).

Recomiendo este libro a las personas a las que les guste el misterio y las novelas de policías y ladrones en el que el personaje principal nunca se rinde.

Voy a leer otros libros de Maurice Leblanc  porque cuando te lees uno tienes ganas de leer más , en este caso estoy leyendo Arsenio Lupin, caballero ladrón.

Si pudiera hablar con Maurice Leblanc le preguntaría  por qué  el personaje principal se llama Arsenio Lupin.

Durante el tercer trimestre, en el área de castellano, me he leído el libro “El último enigma”, escrito por Joan Manuel Gisbert.

Esta historia trata de un niño de 17 años que desea ser aprendiz de uno de los miembros de la Hermandad del Enigma de Salomón, y para ello decide seguir a un extraño viajero que dice formar parte de la Hermandad.

Mientras esto ocurría, los miembros de la Hermandad estaban siendo arrastrados hasta la locura por un falso enigma de Salomón.

Uno de los temas del libro, es la curiosidad de Ismael que le impulsa a seguir al maestro de enigmas. Así como el miedo que tiene al descubrir que le buscan para matarle.

Esta historia podría clasificarse como relato de aventuras y misterio.

Todos los personajes son adultos excepto Ismael y otro niño que se le parece mucho en el aspecto físico.

Recomiendo este libro a las personas que les gusten los libros de aventuras, de misterio y los enigmas enrevesados con una difícil solución.

Si me pudiera poner en contacto con el autor le felicitaría, ya que me lo he pasado muy bien leyendo su libro. Y cuando dejaba de leer, quería saber qué era lo que pasaba a continuación.

The  book that I have read this term is  “Fantastic  Mr. Fox “  by Roald  Dahl  and illustrated  by  Quentin  Blake  . The  Publisher of this  book  is  Puffin and the  collection  is Penguin Random  House UK . It has 81 pages  and 18 chapters.

This book  is about  that down in the  valley  there  were  three  farmers   Boggis  , Bunce  and  Bean  . Boggis  was  a  chiken  farmer  ,  Bunce was a  duck  – and – goose  farmer , and  Bean was  a  turkey – and-apple farmer.

But  on  a hill  above  the  valley  there  was  a  huge  tree  .  Under  the  tree  there  was   a  hole  .  In the hole  lived  Mr.Fox ,  Mrs.Fox  and  their  four  small Foxes .

Every  evening  when  it  gots  dark  ,  Mr.Fox  stole  of the farmers  Boggis , Bean  or Bunce , to  eat  he  and  his  family .  The  farmers  ,  were  mad  so they  decided  to  kill  the  fox  ,  but  the  farmers  only  get  the  tail  of  the   fox  .

Mr.Fox  and his  family  decided  to  do  a  tunnel   to escapes from the  farmers  Boggis  ,  Bean  and  Bunce.

I liked   the  book  because  is  funny  ,  I  like the animals that  appear   and  because  how  it  describes  the  characters  , one  of the  part  that  I  liked the most  is  when  the  children  sing  a  song  of  the  three  farmers.

This  book  has  a  table  of  contents  ,  that helps my  during  the  reading   ,  the  font   size  helps  me  too . This  book  has  a  recommended  bibliography  ,  the  books  that  I  will  like  to  read  are  “James  and  the  Giant  Peach “ , “Danny the  Champion  of  the  world “  and  “The  Twins” .

The  possible  usefulness  and  interest  is  unfair  that  one  persone  has  a  lot  of  food  , but  others  have  steal  to  eat  .  I  think  that readers  will enjoy the reading because it’s an adventure and animal book.

Uno de los libros que me he leído durante este trimestre es «El bandido Saltodemata» del escritor Otfried Preussler.

En la historia, dos niños quieren recuperar un objeto de valor sentimental incalculable que les fue arrebatado por un bandido. Les suceden muchas aventuras.

Las páginas que más me ha gustado leer son de la página 46 a la 50. Uno de los fragmentos dice así: «Con la mano lanzó un rayo, que fue a caer en el suelo, apenas a un palmo de los pies de Jaimito. Jaimito tuvo un susto tremendo, mientras las carcajadas del gran mago Atenazador estallaban en el quinto piso de la torre del castillo»

 El autor del libro quiere transmitir a los niños y las niñas que pueden con todo.

1. The book is about a girl named Chloe who lives in London and has a mother who only pays attention to her small sister.

Chloe meets a tramp in the street and she takes him to his shed. Her mother discovers him and takes the opportunity to tell to a television producer that the idea to host a homeless at home was her idea. On this way, she takes all the merit.

2. I liked the book because I like the idea that we can help to other people more needed than us. The part that I like more is when Chloe said to Mr. Stink that he on enter in her shed.

The part I don’t like is when Chloe’s mother takes all the merit.

The book doesn’t have table of contents and I like the bibliography.
